Personal Space Extends To the Line At the Grocery Store

Hi friends!  A little bit of a rant for this Friday morning.  I try to be very conscious of personal space and the fact that I may be standing in someone’s way.  Just the way I would like others to behave.  I was at the grocery store the other night, on a week night at 9:00 PM.  I was checking out and because there are no baggers where I shop I was getting all of my groceries together and in my shopping cart for the trip to the car.  I have noticed this happens almost every time.  I go around to the front of my cart to start loading everything and the jerk behind me pulls their cart right up to mine.  PEOPLE, I STILL HAVE TO PAY!!  It just seems so rude to me.  What are your thoughts on this?  Do you have situations like this one that make you wonder "how can they think this is okay"?

So it is Friday and the weekend is here, what are your plans?

Hubby and I are going to tour a gym tonight (we are thinking of switching.)  I am going to get my house clean.  No joke it looks like a bomb went off around here.  Wish me luck and have a GREAT weekend!

  1. That has happened to me as well--I think some folks just don't think.

    We are shoveling snow here--blah.

  2. Ohhh that annoys me to no end. As a mom I sometimes wonder if I will ever have personal space again, but seriously, as adults, give me my space to pay for my groceries or you can pay for them LOL

  3. I agree! Especially when you're trying to pay & you don't want someone knowing your pin number!

  4. I don't know why people do that. I is terribly annoying. I mean seriously...step away! People are just in a rush. I also feel this way about produce. I WAIT for the person to finish picking our their oranges before I choose mine UNLESS the stack is huge and we can stand comfortably in our own space SO it annoys me when I am crowded by an arm and armpit from someone behind me. Um, wait please!

  5. Totally know what you mean. People are in such a hurry they forget common sense all together. Next time stand there to pay and then sack your groceries. :) XOXO

  6. Sounds like a traumatic trip. Sometimes, I feel like people have forgotten what they're doing.

Also,I love reading your blog, and wanted to let you know that I gave you the Stylish Blogger Award!

  7. I SO TOTALLY AGREE! I usually shoot them very dirty looks, and crowd them backwards and dramatically hold my hand over the key pad as I enter my pin number, glaring at them all the while. I know it's evil and pointed of me, but how else are they going to learn? Geez. A few time I've told people to back up because they're crowding me, but most of the time I resort to dirty looks.
