Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

I am really starting to look forward to Mondays, because I get to be so random!

I am doing the same things I did last Monday, taking AL to the doctor.  Poor baby had a fever of over 101 last night and just does not seem to be getting better.  If you can not tell, I am not afraid to use my insurance.

I may need to start a seperate weekly post for the idiot ways I injure myself. (which leads me to third and fourth.)

Do not think you can run bases in sandals and a skirt in front of 5th and 6th graders and leave with your dignity.  That is all I am going to say other than, it was funny until I woke up this morning.

Be careful licking long envelopes - you may cut the crease of your mouth.  I am just saying it is a possibility.

I really need to get a hold of this working full time/ three kids things.

I am not sure what has changed but my floors are constantly sticky.  Even after I just clean them.  I can't stand to be barefoot in my house anymore.  Am I just loosing my mind?  Is it because it is hot?  Is it because I have a traveling/throwing eater/drinker?  Is it because the floor is old?  Is it because I cleaned them with amonia ONCE?  This is how much I think about it, and how much it grosses me out.

Today marks the first day of me getting back into the weightloss swing of things.  After my very long hiatus.  I feel like I have no idea what I am doing.

I still have 1 more Vegas recap coming.

Thanks Carrisa for hosting!

  1. stopping over to see what is miscellany in your life. I hate sticky floors!

  2. #4-OW!!! How'd the first day go today??? I was starving this afternoon and came home to eat dinner right away. Going to meet a running group in a few though so I should be good!

  3. Thanks for visiting :)

Sorry to hear that your baby is sick! Hope it passes very quickly!

I'm with you - I am forever getting hurt. Clumbsy is the name of my game...unfortunately, my kids seem to take after me :(

Let me know when you figure out how to get ahold of the working full-time thing! I only have two kids to tend to and I still haven't figured it out. I think it will get easier when they are both in school but I'm sure there will be another twist in the road that will make me eat those words :) One day at a time is what I live by! I told my hubby today that it's easy to forget how blessed I am when I feel so much stress balancing it all but at the end of the day I am blessed beyond measure and I need to be reminded of that (more often than I'd like to be!).

    Happy Monday :)

  4. I hope AL feels better soon! So sorry about your fall. I hope you are ok. I am still trying to get the hang of working full time with 4 kids, although one is now an adult. I went to work when each of mine were six weeks old. Sad, I know but it's all they've known. You will get the hang of it!

  5. My guess would be you have sticky floors because of the hot and sticky weather!

Your injuries made me chuckle ;)

  6. I totally understand about the seems the moment I mop that the kids spill or the dog tracks in mud! It actually seems to stay cleaner if I don't mop...LOL!

  7. I hope the little guy is doing better. Its hard to see them sick. Your injuries remind me of mine. I seem to do things like that too.

    thanks for sharing your randomness!

  8. I have a similar problem with my wood floors. They get sticky after I mop them and I've tried every different brand of cleaner. None of them seem to get it to shine either! I don't get it. Mine are eucalyptus wood, maybe that has something to do with it. Who knows!

  9. Loved your miscellany!! I have totally cut my mouth licking an envelope. So not fun. Hope you have a great day and week! <333

  10. Way to jump on the miscellany! I see that you took my AWESOME advice ;) Go paper cuts! This weightloss thing. I feel like now that I've been off the band wagon for so long I don't know how to do this either. I ate chips without thinking. I don't know what my problem is. Don't I want to lose???

  11. I hope you little one feels better soon. The sticky floors thing is rampant at our house as well--the kids are the suspects, but our evidence collection process is incomplete. In any event: yuck.

  12. I would HATE sticky floors, and I would probably obsess over it too. That would drive me CRAZY! Maybe it is because you cleaned it with amonia. I don't know. Thats so frustrating!
Anyway, I'm new here. I followed you over from Slamdunk.
I'm enjoying your blog so far, just became a follower.
