My Brother

I don't speak much about my family outside of my house.  However - I have a big one!  Three sisters and a brother and the list of family goes on and on!  I don't speak too much about them because this is my blog and I choose to share about my life and I respect that they may not want the same for themselves.  However!!!!!  Over at Kelly's Korner she is having "Show Me Your Life: Single Guy's".  I happen to think I am related to the BEST single guy ever.  How he remains single is a mystery to me!

I have so much love and respect for this man that he is the God-Father of my two youngest daughters AL and LD  He was so happy and proud of this honor, it truly made me and hubby thrilled  and pleased with our decision!

All of the nieces and nephews LOVE their uncle!  And he loves them!

My brother's name is Justin, he lives in Southern Colorado and he is 26. My brother is a very patient caring man; he listens quietly and cares deeply. When he has an opinion and has thought about what he would like to say, he will speak it, but not before that moment. Justin is also a hard worker; he has been focused on a particular goal that looks like it is coming to fruition come January! My brother complains about very little, in fact I can hardly pin point any particular thing he has ever complained about. You will rarely see him without a smile. He is easy going and a lot of fun to be around, he loves to be goofy and have a good time, once you get to know him. Justin is very athletic, he is a downhill mountain biker, retired semi-pro, also loves dirt bikes and 4 wheeling along with just about anything else that gets him out in the beautiful Colorado outdoors.

When I asked my 14 year old how she would describe her uncle she said he was "genuine" and "big hearted".  These truly are at the base of all things Justin.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me!

  1. I don't know how you don't have any comments for your brother, maybe just because you posted it a little later but your brother is adorable!! I'm 25 but too bad I live in Tennessee!!

  2. Adie,

I'm impressed. I live in Fort Collins, so about two-ish hours north of the Springs. I'm in Denver frequently for school (I attend Metro State). Tell Justin I said hi!

  3. What a sweet post about your brother! I love that you hold him in such high regard. I pray that my kids always have a close brother/sister relationship :) I also pray that your brother finds a wonderful woman to share his life with!

  4. He's soo freakin cute!! I'm still amazed he's single!!

  5. So I know that Colorado is far from the south...But the good news is that my younger sister is going to be going to be visiting Colorado twice in the next few months! (Who says you can't get to know someone long-distance??) :)

She's and is living with me and working as a full-time nanny for a few military families while my husband is deployed. She's very witty/fun, loves to be outside doing "outdoorsy" things (much more than me), and has a servant's heart. She's 23 with a bachelor's degree and is great with kids. She's looking to eventually relocate to Colorado (literally her dream is be there) once my husband gets back and my baby gets a little older.

So if you think your brother might be interested, you can email her at or look her up on facebook - Anna Sanford in Warner Robins, GA. She's very laid back and wouldn't think it weird if she got a message. :)

  6. I wish Alabama wasn't so far away!!!!!!

  7. He IS cute but that last picture is scary! I'll keep my eyes open for any single ladies to send his way.

  8. Aw! Fun! What a cutie. :-) Someone will be very blessed to catch him!

  9. wow what a cutie! if he doesn't mind a girl in texas then i would like for him to have my email i don't know how someone hasn't taken him off the market:) sounds like a great catch!

  10. This Single Nester likes your Single Guy! Too bad he doesn't live in NY.

  11. I read your info on Kelly’s Korner and immediately thought of my friend, Lauren. I would love to put Justin and Lauren in touch for a few reasons.
1.She’s single and ready to mingle. Seems like Justin is too.
2.If he's looking for a friend, and maybe more, she’s a great friend to have. So, why not be open to making a new friend, right?
3.She’s so much fun, is loyal, kind, and loves Jesus. What more do you need?

Lauren's email is Come on, shoot her an email. You’ve got everything to gain and nothing to lose! Good luck!

  12. I totally missed this post AND look at all the comments. Apparently women should just stand in line to meet him! ;) You are right, you don't talk much about extended family on here...I just never thought about it! I'm so glad that your lil ones have such an awesome uncle!

  13. Adrienne, you explained our brother so well! He is truly amazing and excited to see some many wonderful comments about him as well. He is a true "catch" :)

The scary photo is from a ride we did in Utah for my b-day...we had a great time, we went to Vegas the year before - that was a blast as well.
