What's a Busy Mom To Do?

This morning AL desperately needed a bath.  I chose her outfit and realized that this may be the last time she would be able to wear this outfit.  This paticular sunsuits was one of my favorite so I wanted to do a mini photo shoot.  The outfit was a bit wrinkled for a photo shoot and the iron was two-stories down.  So what's a busy mom to do?

While AL did this:

Mommy used this:

To iron this:

Yes that is right, I do this all of the time for minor or baby wrinkle jobs.  I use my strightner as an iron.  It straightens my hair why not my shirt, or my collar or a baby sunsuit?

What household items do you use for other purposes other than their intended purpose?

  2. That's awesome... never thought of that before. My hair dryer gets used to dry everything except hair. It actually lives in the garage. I have a 5 gallon water cooler that is used to marinate/brine meat exclusively... it's great because it keeps it cold but doesn't take up room in my refrigerator. I'm sure I'll think of 40 other off the wall things I use once I post this comment. :-)

  3. I do the same thing for shirts I have that tie in the back. Our dryer wrinkles EVERYTHING with a sash/tie/strings, so it works perfectly! Sometimes, I can get away with hanging pants/dresses in the bathroom while I shower to steam the wrinkles out. Our bathroom has 0 ventilation though, so that helps!

  9. I use my flat iron for my hair and also used it when I was getting my shorts on. I needed to crease where the fold of my shorts is so it stays folded. So while the shorts are on I swiped my flat iron around them!

Glad I'm not the only one that though this was an ingenious idea!
